What You Keep offers free family income and retirement calculators and printable reports, provided by J & S Hain Tax Advisory. No payment, account or email is required.

What the figures mean

The calculators provide factual illustrations of tax and government-payment rules using the figures you enter and the stated assumptions. They are estimates, not personal tax advice, financial-product advice or an ATO or Services Australia determination. Read the rates, sources, limitations and review dates before using a result.

The calculators do not consider your full circumstances, recommend investments or superannuation strategies, verify your legal ability to split income, or assess the sustainability of retirement withdrawals. For tax and accounting questions, contact J & S Hain Tax Advisory. Financial-product advice requires an appropriately licensed adviser.

Your data

Calculations and report generation happen in your browser. Calculator inputs are not transmitted to us. The browser may store your last report inputs locally on this device. Clear site data in your browser to remove them, particularly on a shared device.

Report inputs may appear in the fragment of the report address (the part after #), which is not sent to the web server. Anyone you give that full link to can read those inputs. Reports and browser history may also retain your figures.

This release does not use purchase pixels, analytics scripts, payment collection or email capture. The hosting provider still handles normal page requests and may record access logs such as IP address, browser and requested page. Following the accounting-business link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.

Availability and responsibility

Rates and laws can change. We may update the tools or correct an error. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law. If you paid for a report before the tools became free, your existing purchase rights are unaffected.
